story

DES 150: CAD for Interior Architecture taught computer-assisted architectural presentation, including the development of complex 3D models, techniques of photo-realistic rendering and computer simulation of movement through architectural and interior space.

challenge

In this course, I used Rhinoceros 3D to create model of lecture hall using point cloud data and architectural plans. I then redesigned it into a indoor/outdoor greenhouse space and rendered it using Twinmotion.

opportunity

This course presented the opportunity to learn 3D modeling within restraints, to represent an existing space. With that foundation, I had the opportunity to redesign the space with no limits. I chose to explore daylighting and connection with the surrounding environment.
